Members of Me Fitness Centers can take advantage of several fitness classes led by our professional training staff. We are constantly increasing the number of classes offered each month to better server our members needs. Our instructors and trainers are some of the most talented in the Portland area and are dedicated to continuing education to stay on top of the latest trends and techniques:

Zumba-horizontalThe fusing of Latin and International music creates an exciting mixture of dance and aerobics.  The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

Yoga-SpinOur Yoga/Spin combination class is a great introduction to both Yoga and Spinning.  Working with basic yoga poses as well as hip opening poses.  This class gives you 30+ minutes of spin and yoga focuses on opening up the shoulders, hips, hip flexors and some core exercises., bringing length to your muscles after an intense workout.

XtrMEWe have taken the best of TRX and combined it with our own exercises to make this class a full body, cardio, core, strength workout. IF YOU ONLY HAVE TIME FOR ONE workout, this is it. All fitness levels are welcome, as you will be able to dial in your own level of intensity. This workout is a must for anyone that wants a toned, strong, leaned body, with great cardio-conditioning.

Cross-SpinWe combined Spinning, core, and stretching into one class, creating a "whole body" sense of accomplishment.  Great for anyone wanting to give spinning a try that may not want to jump into an entire hour of only Spinning. This is also a great way ensure you include your core, a priority for good posture, strength and healthy back. Anyone who finds themselves skipping core and could use that little push, or who needs a little more stretch time to reward their muscles for the great work they do for us everyday, should definitely attend.

vinyasa-yogaThis class is ideal for those who are accustomed to “pushing” in their daily habits and whose body longs for realignment, calm and center. Focus is on alignment and breath, bringing you deeper into the poses. This flow class can be expected to heat the muscles and to awaken the core while students can expect to find alignment through linking each single breath to each single movement.  A fun class. You won’t be bored, guaranteed!

vinyasabasicsVinyasa means "flow"- flow of breath and of movement.  This class takes you through the fundamentals of this energizing style of yoga, which is based on Hatha Yoga, but more fast-paced.  Using the foundational poses learned in Hatha, Vinyasa moves through multiple Sun Salutations, integrating them with innovative transitions.  Ultimately, students end up in a "one breath per movement" flow that is fun, challenging, and focused on proper form.  It is recommended students take a few Vinyasa Basics before attending Power Vinyasa.

SpinningThe instructor sets the cadence for this self-paced cycling class, but your heart rate determines the level of intensity.  Beginners and experienced cyclists alike can experience this low impact high intensity cardiovascular workout that focuses on your quads, glutes, and hamstrings without pounding or straining the joints or connective tissues.

pilatesbackshouldAn exercise in balance incorporating core stability and peripheral mobility through modern exercises and rehabilitation principles. Our method emphasizes “functional” movements that will help the student move more freely in real life.  Ideal for the student with muscular and skeletal imbalances or for those who suffer from injuries. For the advanced-level, fit student exercises may be modified to make this an incredible workout!

In this class, movements are slowed and props are used giving space for the body to move deeply into postures, releasing tight muscles, tension and anxiety. Balance your intense workouts with mindful stretching, an opportunity to release and restore body and mind. Focus is placed on bringing ease into the mind. Ideal for relieving life stress.

Bring a willing attitude to play, a towel and water and prepare to sculpt, sweat and release toxins.  An intermediate practice but variations are offered for all levels.

Progressive-Core-powerImprove your "core" strength to facilitate the transfer of power, speed and strength between upper and lower body movements, gain flexibility and most importantly to prevent injury to the spine, hips and lower back regions. Stability, flexibility and strength in this area of the body will help prevent orthopedic issues while maintaining a functional lifestyle and improve your game.

Every Core Class begins with a five minute dynamic warm-up.  Followed by an intense "core routine" that will help get you Beach Ready!  Bring a (crying) towel, some water, and we will provide the motivation.
